EMAILS TO JESUS

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Matthew 25: 40

King James Version

Last weekend I was feeling a little discouraged and lonely so I sent an email to my mailing list. I think I was missing my family more than I was feeling lonely. I have received over one hundred and twenty emails from people since I sent that email. All of them had something kind to say to me and told me they were praying for me. I don’t know if they are aware of it, but not only were they emailing me, they were emailing Jesus.

Sometimes we take what Jesus says lightly. He doesn’t talk just to make noise. He gives us instructions and guidance. I think that many times when we read the same passages in the Bible over and over, we don’t really pay attention to what they are telling us. We do the same thing when we are singing in church. We know the songs, many of us have been singing the same songs for years and we don’t really pay attention to what we are singing.

We need to realize that Jesus is to be treated with the greatest respect, awe and dignity. Whether we are reading the Bible or singing in church, we must focus on Him and on what He is saying to us and what we are singing to Him. Just as we like to get emails of love and encouragement, our Saviour also likes to receive emails of love and encouragement.

How do we encourage Jesus, by emailing people and spreading His Love to them. Have you sent an email of encouragement to Jesus lately? Have you told Him you loved Him? If so, what have you done to prove that you love Him?
